After years of abrasion from the Towerklean media, the bottom distribution plate in the reaction column can become pitted. Sometimes this erosion extends out into the sealing rings machined into the plate, not a good thing. Eventually leaks can occur. See the tips section, I have posted some photos showing an example of this.
We have developed a simple device to help extend the life of the distribution plate. It is a modified gasket which covers the entire bottom of the plate. See the attached photo.
